Hi ladies,
This is another beautiful AnnaBelinda jacket, and the details really make it special. Rich black velvet is outlined with pink and turquoise tonic satin, which changes softly with the light — sometimes showing more pink, sometimes a lovely turquoise sheen.
The delicate piping follows the neckline, front edges and curved seams, picking out the shaping beautifully. Eight satin-covered buttons with loop fastenings finish the front, while each cuff has four matching buttons and loops.
The back is just as lovely: three larger satin-covered buttons mark the ends of the piped seams, with inverted pleats beneath them giving the hem a beautiful shape.
The label itself began in 1970 and was already established nationally through Liberty and Harrods by the mid-1970s.
A wonderful piece to wear with a long velvet skirt for an occasion, or with simple black trousers to let the jacket take centre stage.
