A truly exceptional vintage Versace Classic coat, beautifully tailored in blue/navy with fine warm-ivory stripes precisely aligned to create its dramatic chevron design.
The long, sculpted silhouette is unmistakably Versace. Strong shoulders and sharply layered lapels give way to a closely shaped waist before falling into a sleek, narrow line below the knee. Two original burgundy buttons, each finished with a tiny gold geometric centre, provide the perfect contrast.
The extraordinary pattern placement is central to the design. Each striped panel has been carefully cut and matched, forming a continuous series of chevrons through the front and along the entire centre back. It is a wonderful demonstration of Italian tailoring and becomes even more striking when the coat is worn.
Made in a substantial yet gently flexible acetate-and-cotton fabric, with a touch of elastane for ease of movement. The coat retains its original Versace Classic swing tags and seal and is in beautiful unworn vintage condition.
