Why I Love This
This beautiful Tomasz Starzewski skirt suit captures the polished femininity of 1990s occasion dressing.
The fabric is a particularly lovely warm pale lemon, softer and more refined than a bright citrus yellow, with abstractly scattered ivory spots sitting slightly proud of the surface. Its softly textured finish has the feel and appearance of a lightweight crepe.
The jacket is beautifully shaped through the waist, with short sleeves, neat faux welt pockets and a gently flared hem. Four extraordinary peach-orange buttons provide the finishing flourish. Each has an intricate lace-like floral design surrounding a jewel-toned centre.
The matching straight skirt completes an elegant two-piece that would be wonderful for a wedding, garden party, race day or summer celebration. It feels distinctive and special without becoming overly formal.
