Details
An unworn treasure from the 1980s, this Monsoon Twilight dress brings together pure silk, vivid jewel colours and a beautifully shaped silhouette.
Stripes of pink, purple, red, teal and blue illuminate the black silk, with its distinctive natural texture and subtle lustre. A gently scooped front neckline balances the striking V-back, while three-quarter sleeves, a fitted bodice and a generously gathered midi skirt create an elegant occasion silhouette.
The wide matching sash defines the waist and offers two lovely ways to wear the dress. For the back-view photographs, we have removed the sash to show the shaped waist seam and silhouette clearly. The sash is included.
Originally purchased by my mother and never worn, this dress has been carefully stored and retains its original tags. It comes with its original Monsoon carrier bag and receipt, together with a matching bow hair clip and small hair band—a wonderfully complete vintage ensemble.
