A wonderfully romantic vintage AnnaBelinda Oxford dress in an elegant palette of light sky blue, sage green, navy and ivory.
The stylised morning glory floral print is complemented beautifully by muted blue satin piping and covered buttons. Five buttons follow the asymmetric line of the fitted bodice, while the softly pleated sash wraps smoothly across the front before narrowing into two flat panels at the back, where it fastens with three further covered buttons.
The softly box-pleated skirt creates graceful movement without adding unnecessary volume. Narrow angled turn-back cuffs and a satin-piped hem complete this exceptionally thoughtful design.
WHY I LOVE THIS
This is AnnaBelinda at its most distinctive: feminine, beautifully constructed and full of clever details that reveal themselves gradually. I particularly love the asymmetric bodice, the unusual sculpted sash and the gentle contrast between the fresh floral print and tailored silhouette.
It would be wonderful for a summer wedding, garden party, afternoon celebration or simply worn somewhere lovely on a warm day.
AnnaBelinda was founded in Oxford in 1970 and became nationally recognised through prestigious retailers including Liberty and Harrods. This dress is believed to date from the early to mid-1980s.

The outer fabric appears to be cotton or a cotton blend, but there is no composition label, so the exact fibre content is unknown.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition.
The satin covering remains intact on all the buttons. A couple have tiny irregularities in their finish that are visible only upon very close inspection. These are minor and do not detract from the dress when worn.
As with all vintage pieces, there may be very slight signs of age consistent with careful previous ownership.
