An exceptionally elegant vintage dress by AnnaBelinda, beautifully tailored in a luxurious wool and silk fabric with a rich brown ground and an intricate bronze geometric basket-weave pattern.
The fitted bodice features soft vertical pleating and a distinctive asymmetric fastening with five bronze satin-covered buttons, believed to be silk. A deep wrap-effect V-neckline is framed with coordinating bronze trim, while fine piping travels gracefully over the shoulders.
The softly defined waist opens into a beautifully fluid midi skirt with central pleating at both the front and back. Long sleeves are finished with small open cuff splits, dark piping and bronze satin trim. Coordinating narrow black and bronze trims provide an exquisite finish around the hemline.
Inside, the dress is fully lined in lustrous bronze-brown satin.
The original fabric swing ticket remains attached inside the dress, and we therefore believe it has never been worn. It is presented in beautiful vintage condition.
The dress is labelled a UK 16; however, the 32-inch waist is closer to a modern UK 14. Please refer carefully to the measurements below to ensure the best fit.
The AnnaBelinda label began in Oxford in 1970 and was already established nationally through Liberty and Harrods by the mid-1970s.
